1. Scope

These Terms apply to this website and to every quote, order, and contract for custom cabinets, doors, closets, and related installation work (“Products” and “Services”) provided by Door + Cabinet (“we”, “us”). By requesting a quote or signing a proposal, you (“Customer”) agree to these Terms. If a signed proposal conflicts with these Terms, the signed proposal controls.

2. Quotes and estimates

  • Prices may change if the scope, materials, measurements, or site conditions differ from what the quote assumed.
  • Estimates given by phone, email, WhatsApp, or the website form are non-binding until we issue a written quote and you accept it.

3. Orders and payment

  • An order is confirmed when you accept the written quote.
  • Payment amounts and due dates are stated in your written quote or proposal.

4. Custom orders and changes

Our Products are made to your specifications and cannot be resold. Changes after approval of drawings or measurements may change the price and the lead time and must be agreed in writing.

5. Measurements and site conditions

  • We rely on measurements and drawings you approve. Please verify them before approving; once production begins we are not responsible for errors in approved dimensions.
  • If we take the measurements, we are responsible for their accuracy at the time of measurement.
  • You must provide safe, clear access to the work area. Hidden conditions (out-of-plumb walls, uneven floors, plumbing, wiring, mold, water damage) may require additional work at additional cost.

6. Materials, color, and natural variation

Wood, veneer, and stain are natural materials. Grain, color, and tone vary between samples, photos, screens, and finished pieces, and change over time with light exposure. Such variation is not a defect. Digital photos and website images are illustrative only. Please approve physical samples before ordering.

7. Lead times

Dates are estimates, not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by suppliers, shipping, weather, permits, your late approvals or payments, or other events outside our control.

8. Delivery and installation

  • You or an authorized adult must be present at delivery and inspect the Products.
  • Report visible damage or missing items promptly after delivery or installation, with photos.
  • Installation is included only where stated in the proposal. Work not listed (electrical, plumbing, countertops, flooring, painting, demolition) is excluded unless written in the quote.
  • Storage of delivered Products is at the Customer’s risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a Product or Service is limited to the amount you paid for the affected item. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost use, lost income, alternative lodging, etc.). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Louisiana law.

10. Project photos

We may photograph completed work and use the images (without personal details) on our website and social media. Tell us in writing if you do not want your project shown.

11. Website use and intellectual property

The website’s text, photos, designs, and logos belong to Door + Cabinet or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without written permission. Our drawings and designs remain our property until the contract is paid in full, and may not be used by others to build the same project.

12. Communications and privacy

By giving your phone and email, you agree we may contact you about your quote or project. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy & Cookie Policy.

13. Disputes, governing law, and venue

  • Please contact us first; we will try in good faith to resolve any issue.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana.
  • Any lawsuit must be filed in the courts of Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.

14. General

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these Terms; the version in force when you accepted your quote applies to that order.
